INTRODUCTION:
Well, what I would love to share with you today is the most iconic Vietnamese traditional garment, called “Ao Dai” which I had a chance to wear it on my graduation ceremony about 9 years ago.
BODY:
Actually during my high school years, the white Ao Dai was our school uniform for female students. And I still remember clearly that I bought a beautiful white traditional dress for my own in Thai Tuan Silk. Thankfully, our dress code on Graduation ceremony was Ao Dai so I had a chance to wear it again.
My Ao Dai was a fitted, full length white dress which was split all the way from the waist down, covering white silk trousers with rosy floral patterns and it fitted me perfectly.
The thing that I really love about wearing Ao Dai is that it is interestingly considered to cover everything, but still looks so sexy, glamorous and so elegant because it highlights the outstanding feature of a woman’s curve. That’s why Ao Dai has still remained popular and influential in the modern society unlike other traditional costumes.
So, on that day, all my teachers also wear Ao Dai and they looked incredibly beautiful and charming. Everyone also complimented me a lot on this outfit. I was indeed on cloud nine and felt blissfully happy to be Vietnamese, you know a kind of patriotic feeling. We took a lot of amazing photos on that day, captured those precious moments because Ao Dai is no longer worn on daily basis except some special occasions such as New Year, wedding or graduation events.
CONSCLUSION
I think the beauty of Vietnamese women is honoured thanks to Ao dai and for sure, it is a must-have clothing in anyone’s closet.
