Từ HIGH là từ vựng A1 cực cơ bản và đảm bảo là bạn nào cũng biết nghĩa của từ này rồi, tuy nhiên các cụm từ và thành ngữ cực phổ biến đi với nó thì chưa chắc tất cả các bạn đã biết. Nếu bạn còn chưa biết HIGH STREET hay SEARCH HIGH AND LOW và còn nhiều cụm bên dưới là gì thì càng cần học content bên dưới thật kỹ.
 
1. High heels (n) /ˌhaɪ ˈhiːlz/: women’s shoes in which the heels are raised high off the ground: Giày cao gót
Example: Ladies in high heels have caught their feet and anyone walking in the evenings
 
2. High-spirited (a) /ˌhaɪˈspɪr.ɪ.tɪd/: A high-spirited person is energetic and happy and likes doing exciting and enjoyable things: tinh thần phơi phới
Example: She had been bright and funny and high-spirited, excited about being in Greece.
 
3. High-class (a) /ˌhaɪˈklɑːs/: of very good quality, or of high social rank: hạng nhất 
Example: he musicians gave a high-class performance. 
 
4. High-end (a) /ˌhaɪˈend/: intended for people who want very good quality products and who do not mind how much they cost: hạng sang 
Example: a high-end department store
 
5. High-tech = hi-tech (a) /ˌhaɪˈtek/: using the most advanced and developed machines and methods: công nghệ cao
Example: This weapons system is an affordable, hi-tech solution.
 
6. High street (n) /ˈhaɪ ˌstriːt/: a street where the most important shops and businesses in a town are: đại lộ, phố lớn, đường lớn 
Example: There’s a new Italian restaurant opening on the high street.
 
7. Look / search high and low = search very thoroughly (everywhere): tìm kiếm khắp nơi
Example: I’ve searched high and low but without success.
 
8. High hopes: a strong feeling that something good will happen or be true: hy vọng lớn 
Example: We had high hopes of winning the game.
 
9. High achiever (n) : a person who achieves more than the average person in their work: người thành công
Example: He had always been a high achiever and a good worker.
 
10. High-risk: likely to result in failure, harm, or injury : having a lot of risk: rủi ro lớn
Example: a high-risk activity
 
11. High five (n) /ˌhaɪ ˈfaɪv/: a greeting or an expression of admiration in which two people each raise a hand above their shoulder and bring the fronts of their hands together with force:  đập tay. một hành động thể hiện sự ăn mừng chiến thắng, sự vui vẻ
 
12. High blood pressure (n) /ˈhɑɪ ˈblʌd ˌpreʃ·ər/: a medical condition in which the force of the blood against the walls of the arteries as the blood travels through them is greater than is considered healthy: huyết áp cao
Example: He had accidentally taken too much of his medication for high blood pressure.
 
13. It's high time—used to say it is time to do something that should have been done a long time ago: đã đến lúc làm gì
Example: It’s high time we made some changes around here.
 
14. At a record high/at record highs = the highest amount or level that something has ever reached: mức cao kỷ lục
Example: The Dow Jones index closed at a record high on Monday.
 
15. High finance (n): the activities of lending, investing, and borrowing very large amounts of money: Tài Chính Cấp Cao
Example: Mr Erdman was an expert on high finance who once was the CEO of a Swiss bank.
