Describe a comic actor who is popular in your country.

You should say:
       who the actor is
       how you know him/her
       what kind of person he/she is
and explain why he/she is popular in your country.

Sample answer: 

         I would love to share with you today my all-time favourite comic actor, Mr Rowan Atkinson - an English comedian and he is probably internationally acclaimed for his work on the classic sitcoms Mr. Bean.

         I still remember clearly that I first saw him in Mr Bean series on TV when I was a little girl (probably 15 years ago) and I was instantly impressed/amazed by his witty character and amazing facial expressions. In this series, Bean rarely speaks, and when he does, it is generally only a few mumbled words which are in a comically low-pitched voice.

        The thing that makes him such a talented comic actor is his incredible facial gestures and charismatic body movements. I mean he is so ridiculous and yet loveable at the same time. He always seems to gets himself into terrible problems and humorous situations just doing ordinary things based on real life everyday situations (such as go swimming, do the laundry and so on). I think people admire him because it’s not complex humour – it could happen to anyone so it’s very entertaining. Another great thing about his acting is through an inanimate teddy bear in Mr. Bean. He behaves as if the bear is real and alive like buying it a Christmas present or trying not to wake it in the mornings, which is so so funny.

         You know Rowan Atkinson is so popular not only in my country but all around the world because he is so different to many other comic actors. He can make you laugh without uttering a single word…This gives him the ability to connect to any person , from 5 year old child to 80 year old grandma..Very few characters have the ability to do that (except Charlie Chaplin, Tom n Jerry). That’s something that makes him appealing to a worldwide audience.
