1. Dab hand (n) /ˌdæb ˈhænd/: someone who is very good at a particular activity: cực giói giang
Example: She was a dab hand at tennis and played for her school.
2. First-rate (a) /ˌfɜːstˈreɪt/: extremely good: hàng đầu
Example: He’s a really first-rate administrator, the very best.
3. Top-notch (a) /ˈtɑpˈnɑtʃ/: excellent; of very good quality: hàng đầu
Example: His level of fitness will have to be top-notch for him to play professional basketball.
4. On the ball = aware of any changes or developments and quick to react to them: nhanh nhẹn
Example: We need someone who’s really on the ball to answer questions from the press.
5. Have a way with = have a particular talent for dealing with or ability in: có 1 phương thức riêng rất thuyết phục và hiệu quả
Example: He’s got a way with animals.
6. Get the gift of the gab = Someone who has the ability to speak well: hoạt ngôn, thông thái.
Example: Lawyers are often born with the gift of the gab.
