Collocations - trong các bài nói IELTS Speaking, ngoài cụm A PIECE OF CAKE (dễ ợt) bạn đã dùng vô cùng nhiều, chúng mình còn có các cụm tuyệt vời đi với PIECE OF (1 mẩu, 1 cái, 1 chiếc….) tuỳ thuộc với NOUN (danh từ) mà nó đi kèm. Những cụm tuyệt hay như PIECE OF MUSIC (1 bản nhạc), PIECE OF NEWS (1 mẩu tin tức)…. như BEC đã liệt kê bên dưới. Càng dùng nhiều khả năng Speaking sẽ ngày càng mượt hơn và thể hiện được sự uyển chuyển của ngôn ngữ 
 
1. Favourite piece of music : bản nhạc yêu thích 
Example: What’s your favourite piece of music? Mine’s the second movement from Mozart’s Piano Concerto no.21.
 
 
2. The best piece of news : tin tức tốt nhất  
Example: That’s the best piece of news I’ve heard for a long time! Congratulations!
 
 
3. An incredible piece of luck : may mắn 
Example: A doctor just happened to be passing by as my baby choked on a sweet. She managed to save his life. It was an incredible piece of luck.
 
 
4. The blank piece of paper : giấy trắng 
Example: I stared at the blank piece of paper. I had no idea how I was going to answer the question.
 
 
5. A very clever piece of detective work
Example: They managed to trace the killer from a very small amount of DNA evidence left behind at the crime scene. It was a very clever piece of detective work.
 
 
6. A highly sensitive piece of equipment : thiết bị nhạy bén 
Example: The movement of the patient’s eyes are recorded on a highly sensitive piece of equipment which gives extremely accurate readings.
