Topic mới nhất của quý 2 IELTS Speaking yêu bạn tả một doanh nghiệp/công ty lớn mà bạn thích/biết (Describe A Big/Large Company You Are Interested In). Nếu như ở các quý trước bạn được hỏi về tả doanh nghiệp nhỏ/ hay doanh nghiệp gia đình (family business) thì nay cách hỏi có khác đi một chút. Để tránh sự nhàm chán lặp đi lặp lại từ COMPANY trong bài nói của mình, IELTS Trangbec đã soạn sẵn content bên dưới, bạn chỉ cần ghi chú và áp dụng vào bài nói của mình
Ví dụ khi tả doanh nghiệp lớn như GOOGLE (an American multinational technology company) thì mình không thể nào chỉ dùng mỗi từ COMPANY trong suốt bài được mà cần phải dùng các từ thay thế khác để tăng sự phong phú cho bài nói của mình mà còn tránh bị lặp từ
1. Company (n) /ˈkʌm.pə.ni/: an organization that sells goods or services in order to make money - công ty (nhỏ/lớn)
Example: I work for Duggan and Company.
2. Business (n) /ˈbɪz.nɪs/: a particular company that buys and sells goods and service - tổ chức thương mại hoạt động kinh doanh
Example: The two brothers established/set up/started up a clothes retailing business.
3. Firm (n) /fɜːm/: a company offering a professional service, for example a company of lawyers - thường là những công ty cung cấp dịch vụ chuyên nghiệp
Example: He works for a law firm called Neil and Vigliano.
4. Large enterprise (n) /ˈen.tə.praɪz/: an organization, especially a business, or a difficult and important plan, especially one that will earn money - tập đoàn lớn
Example: Don’t forget this is a commercial enterprise - we're here to make money.
5. Major corporation (n) /ˌkɔː.pərˈeɪ.ʃən/: a large company or group of companies that is controlled together as a single organization - tập đoàn lớn
Example: a multinational corporation
6. Conglomerate (n) /kənˈɡlɒm.ər.ət/: a company that owns several smaller businesses whose products or services are usually very different - công ty hỗn hợp bao gồm một công ty chính và nhiều công ty chi nhánh thuộc nhiều ngành khác nhau, thường không có liên hệ với nhau về mặt sản xuất cũng như thị trường.
Example: a financial/industrial conglomerate
7. Establishment (n) /ɪˈstæb.lɪʃ.mənt/: a business or other organization, or the place where an organization operates - cơ sở (kinh doanh)
Example: an educational/financial/religious establishment
