Topic TV Programmes nóng hổi part 1 cho quý đầu năm 2019 đây mem nhé Với part 1, mem luôn lưu ý golden rule là luôn be direct and brief (hãy luôn trả lời trực tiếp, ngắn gọn và rõ ràng), không trả lời vòng vo mà hãy đi thẳng vào vấn đề. Cũng không cần các câu nói hoa văn dẫn vào làm gì mem nhé nếu không chỉ khiến mem mất thêm điểm mà thôi. Nên nhớ ideas luôn là cái quan trọng nhất, nếu không có ideas mem sẽ cứng đơ luôn và không biết trả lời sao cho hay. Vậy nên với mỗi topic mình được hỏi hãy đảm bảo mình có nhiều ideas và kiến thức cho từng mảng mem nhé

Did you watch a lot of TV as a child?

Yes, for sure. You could not imagine how many hours I spent glued to the TV screen back then. As an animal lover, I spent countless hours watching the Discovery channel. The Disney channel with shows such as The Suite life of Jack and Cody or Hannah Montana also fundamental in the beginning of my journey to begin learning English.

Where do you usually watch TV programmes?

Answer 1: Like everyone else, I watch TV programmes at home. I guess, it becomes a perfect way to strengthen family relationships and bring everyone together in one place. To be honest with you, the only time my family really spend time together is when we are watching the news on TV at 7 PM everyday. At this time, we are able to share few jokes through current affairs.

Answer 2: These days, I don’t have much free time, and on top of this, I don’t own a TV. So the only time I watch any TV programmes is when I’m chilling out at my parents house on holidays. Occasionally, I also watch documentaries or comedy shows online, typically late at night while i’m lying in bed.

What is your favourite TV programmes?

Answer 1: Well, I have a particular liking for (or: I have a penchant for) reality shows, especially MasterChef (UK TV series). I think what makes them special is that they are highly entertaining and full of unpredictable features. Also, I’m an avid watcher of Netflix through which I can enjoy all latest box office films.

Answer 2: I’m really into all of the BBC nature documentaries narrated by David Attenborough. His latest series was Blue Planet 2, so this is probably my current favorite. As well as being fascinating, it’s also visually arresting, with incredibly beautiful cinematography. In fact, everything about the production is top-notch.

Are there any programmes you do not like to watch?

Answer 1: Actually, there’s a bunch of TV programmes I don’t enjoy. I think the majority of shows are mediocre and a waste of time. Some historical documentaries and game shows such as Wheel of fortune or Vietnam war documentaries sound tedious and tiresome to me so they never spark my interest. (or: never tickles my fancy).

Answer 2: I’m not at all keen on reality TV shows or talent shows. I know a lot of people go in for them and they’re extremely popular but it’s just not my thing. In my opinion, they are a large part of a rising wave of mediocrity within arts and entertainment, but at the end of the day, they’re harmless and i have no problem with other people enjoying these shows.

Do you think you will watch more or less TV in the future?

Answer 1: I’m pretty sure I watch less TV. Honestly, I’m much more into foreign imported films or watching interviews on Youtube or even Tedtalk. They are so much more inspiring and entertaining/ fascinating to me. 

Answer 2: It’s difficult to say because I find it almost impossible to visualise my future. But sure, i’d like it if in a few years I have more leisure to spend hanging out at home watching some quality TV. Perhaps, more realistically, I will have even less time than I do now, especially if I have a family but who knows what the future holds.

  1. Fundamental adjective/ˌfʌn.dəˈmen.təl/ = forming the base, from which everything else develops: cơ bản

Example: Her penchant for disappearing for days at a time worries her family.

  1. Inspiring adjective/ɪnˈspaɪə.rɪŋ/ = encouraging, or making you feel you want to do something: truyền cảm hứng 

Example: She was an inspiring example to her followers. (Cô ấy là một ví dụ đầy cảm hứng cho những người theo cô ấy.)
