6. What do you think decides fashion or what’s in?
At first, I think it’s fashion designers who greatly influence what direction fashion will go. They are leaders of the fashion industry. And then celebrities take on the roles of spreading the fashion. They appear in the media and spur the buying public into accepting emerging trends. But ultimately, it is individuals, the customers, who will decide what is “in” when they choose whether or not to buy into a trend.
7. What are the differences between clothes people wear nowadays and 20 years ago?
As I said just now, the clothes people wear nowadays are moe colourful and more free-styled. People are not content to wear the same clothes as others. People’s style of dressing has become more individual. But 20 years ago, all people’s clothes looked the same in style and colour. There were fewer clothes stores, too.
8. Do you think clothes are important for people?
- Yes, I think so. Although we cannot judge a person by his or her appearance, a properly dressed person will surely leave a good impression on us. A person’s appearence does say plenty about him. It tells us a lot about his personality, education, taste and judgement. And I think wearing the wrong clothes to wrong occasion is embrrassing.
- No, I don’t think so. I believe personal beauty is not just matter of good looks or well-chosen clothes. Inner beauty is more important than appearance.
9. Do you think men care more about women’s appearance than women do about men’s?
Yes, I think so. For women, a man’s intelligence or ability is more important than his appearance. In reality, women would not admire a man just because he is handsome. But for men, things are quite different. On whatever occasion, a pretty women will immediately attract men’s attentions. It seems that girls with an attractive appearance tend to get more chances.
10. What clothes do you think can make a woman more attractive?
I think it depends on individuals. One sexy dress may make a party hotess or a movie star eye-catching, but if an ordinary woman wears it, it probably looks improper and not pretty at all. In my opinion each woman has her own best side if she’s probably dreesed according to her temperament. It’s not good idea to copy other’s dressing style. The most important thing is to find out what suits you best.
11. Why do young people like brands?
The young people love brands and consider brands as a representation of quality. Also, they wish to be trendy and thus recognised. They believe the brands can create a sense of intangible honnour and pride, which will increase their value and confident.
