SAMPLE ANSWER:

Well, my residential area has transformed to a beautiful district with tremendous positive changes in recent years. However, there is still a park named “The Youth Park” on Vo Thi Sau Street which I really hope to see a complete transformation in the new few years.

This park is located just few steps from my house. It’s relatively small compared to other botanical parks in Hanoi, its total area of 30 hectare providing a wonderful place for localresidents coming here to do physical exercises or go strolling around. It used to be surrounded by a vast area of lush grasses and colorful flowers.

Earlier about 6 years ago, when the park was newly built, it is one of the main attractions in my area. I myself also paid a visit to this park on a daily basis especially in the morning with my friends. However, since this park is now littered with garbage and filled with a foul-smelling lake inside the park, I no longer feel like going there.

I think due to the poor maintenance and lack of supervision, the condition of  this park has become worse.

There are a number of things I could not have a sympathy for this place. First, there are not enough dustbins placed at regular intervals. Some people litter everywhere and evendump waste into the lake, which create a very bad image in visitor’s eyes.

Anyone can see the poor condition of the pathways. They’re not well-maintained and are broken into bits and pieces. More seriously, at night due to the poor lighting system, this park is a popular place for drug addicts. People become worried for their personal safety and fear harassment. That’s why, few people visit this park these days.

I would say that the city authority should encourage local people or voluntary groups to tidy up the park and hire more care-takers to make it safe and more attractive playgrounds need to be installed for children to play. Well-planted trees and floating plants should be grown to create more diversity. As well as this, a huge money should be invested to install new safety-orientated facilities inside the park such as better lighting system or warning signs. 
Once those above actions are taken seriously, the park would become a greater place for local people to have a healthy lifestyle. Overall, society would also benefit from this.
