Sample answer 

Learning a second language not only adds up your skills but also offers enormous benefits for your brain and personal growth. Additionally, being bilingual or multilingual expands your knowledge across the country’s border and provides you easy access to the understanding of other cultures. Therefore, beside English, Spanish sits high in my must-learn list due to its wide application and beautiful culture.

Needless to say, Spanish is one of the most widely-spoken language in the world and one of the sixth official languages used in the United Nations conferences and statements. Spanish is spoken in most country in the South and Central America and in the US, over 50 million people are using Spanish either as their mother tongue or second language. As a result, knowing Spanish would absolutely widen your horizon, develop your sense of appreciation for Hispanic culture as well as transform your travel experience as who knows when you would bump into some Spanish friends on your adventure.

Many have said that Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn thanks to its phonetic pronunciation and its similarity with English, in terms of vocabulary. However, it’s easier said than done. No matter how simple and intriguing that may sound, without full commitment and self-discipline, being able to speak Spanish would be a far-fetched idea. Therefore, in order to meet my goal and not to get depressed along the way, I would have to find a learning partner and we would improve our language skills together. 

                                         

           Vocabulary

  2. Personal growth : sự phát triển bản thân
  3. Expand your knowledge : mở rộng kiến thức
  4. Provide you easy access to : cung cấp cho bạn sự dễ dang tiếp cận với…
  5. Wide application (n) = practical use of something (ứng dụng lớn)
  6. Official language : ngôn ngữ chính thức
  7. Widely-spoken langue : ngôn ngữ được sử dụng/nói rộng rãi..
  8. Mother tongue (n) = the language that you first learn to speak when you are a child (tiếng mẹ đẻ)
  9. Widen your horizon : mở rộng tầm nhìn của bạn
  10. Appreciation (n) = pleasure that you have when you recognize and enjoy the good qualities of somebody/something (sự trân trọng / cảm kích)
  1. Transform your travel experience : chuyển đổi trải nghiệm du lịch
  2. In terms of = used to show what aspect of a subject. You are talking about or how you are thinking about it (nói về mặt gì đó)

Example: In financial terms, the project was not a success

            ( Về mặt tài chính, dự án không thành công)

Example: In terms of money, I was better off in my last job

       ( Về tiền bạc, tôi đã đưởn hưởng tốt hơn so với công việc cuối cùng của tôi)

  1. easier said than done : nói dễ hơn làm

Example: ”Why don't you just ask Simon to pay?"

                 "That's easier said than done.”

             ("Tại sao bạn không yêu cầu Simon trả tiền?"

              "Nói thì lúc nào cũng dễ hơn là làm.")

  1. Full commitment (n): the willingness to work heard and give your energy and time to a job or an activity ( cam kết hoàn toàn)
  2. Self-discipline /ˌselfˈdɪə.plɪn/  (n) = the ability to make yourself do something, especially something difficult or unpleasant (tính tự kỉ luật/ tự giác)

Example: You need a lot of self-discipline when you're doing research work on        

                your  own.

     ( Bạn cần rất nhiều kỷ luật tự giác khi bạn làm công việc nghiên cứu một mình)

  1. Far-fetched (a) /ˌfɑːˈfetʃt/ :very unlikely to be true, and difficult to believe (xa vời/ viển vông )

Example: a far-fetched idea/story

     ( một ý tưởng / câu chuyện xa vời)

  1. bump into sb(v) /bʌmp/: to meetsomeone you knowwhen you have not  planned to meet them  (tình cơ gặp ai đó)

Example: We bumped into Amy when we were in town last week

       ( Chúng tôi tình cờ gặp Amy khi chúng tôi ở trong thị trấn tuần trước)
