Chúng ta đã học nhiều các cụm chỉ thời gian như KILL TIME (giết thời gian), TIME IS MONEY (thời gian là tiền bạc).. và còn vô số cụm khác, tuy nhiên nhiều bạn vẫn chưa biết đến cụm HAVE TIME ON YOUR HANDS chẳng hạn, nên chúng mình đã chọn lọc và tổng kết các cụm phổ biến nhất cho topic này, cùng IELTS Trangbec học thật tốt và SHARE cho các bạn của mình được học với nữa nha!
1. Have time on your hands = to have a lot of free time and not know what to do with it: có dư thời gian
Example: If they have too much time on their hands, they can get into trouble.
2. Like there’s no tomorrow = as much or as fast as possible, without planning or thinking first: Làm việc gì đó rất nhanh
Example: The minute he got paid, he started spending money like there’s no tomorrow.
3. The moment of truth = an occasion when something important happens that tests someone or something and that will have an effect on the future: khoảnh khắc thật
Example: Lift-off is always the moment of truth for a new rocket.
4. The eleventh hour = the last moment or almost too late: vào phút cuối/cơ hội cuối
Example: We only received the signatures at the eleventh hour.

5. Against the clock = If you do something against the clock, you do it as fast as possible and try to finish it before a certain time: cố gắng hoàn thành một công việc nào đó trong một khoảng thời gian ngắn ngủi
Example: We are working against the clock to finish the report by Friday.
6. Time is of the essence = said to encourage someone to hurry: Thời gian là điều cốt yếu.
7. Round-the-clock (a) /ˌraʊnd.ðəˈklɒk/: happening or done all day and all night: cả ngày
Example: He’s very sick and needs round-the-clock care.
8. On the spur of the moment = used to say that a decision, action, etc. is sudden and done without any planning: ngẫu hứng
Example: We hadn't planned to go away - it was one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions.
9. In sb's hour of need = at a time when someone really needs help: trong lúc khó khăn
Example: She helped me in my hour of need.
10. A mile a minute = very quickly: rất nhanh chóng
Example: Mike was very excited, talking a mile a minute.
