Trong các bài thi nói IELTS, chúng mình gặp phải rất nhiều các topic truyền thống tả PLACES, và khi nhắc đến các topic này chúng ta không thể không nhắc đến LOCATION (địa điểm), vậy nên chúng mình hãy năng dùng 6 cụm vàng bên dưới nếu muốn tả nơi nào đó xa nhé.
1. Secluded (a) /sɪˈkluː.dɪd/: quiet, private, and not near people, roads, or buildings
Example: a secluded beach
2. Distant (a) /ˈdɪs.tənt/: far away
Example: She could hear the distant sound of fireworks exploding.
3. Isolated (a) /ˈaɪ.sə.leɪ.tɪd/: not near to other places
Example: an isolated farm/village
4. Remote (a) /rɪˈməʊt/: far away in distance or time, or not closely related
Example: It happened in the remote past, so no one worries about it any more.
5. Off the beaten path = off the beaten track = not known or popular with many people
Example: We wanted to find a camping site that was a little bit off the beaten path.
6. (In) the middle of nowhere = far away from any towns and cities and where few people live
Example: He lives in a tiny house in the middle of nowhere.
