1. Have a sharp tongue = to be someone who often criticizesand speaksin a severe way: đanh đá
Example: Jane has a sharp tongue, so be warned.
2. Razor-sharp (a) /ˌreɪ.zəˈʃɑːp/: If you describesomeone or someone's mindas razor-sharp, you mean that that person thinks very clearly and quickly: sắc sảo
Example: She’s got a razor-sharp mind.
3. Sharpen up your act = to improveyourbehaviour or performance: cải thiện hành vi
Example: He really needs to sharpen up his act, or he'll never get to university.
4. Sharp criticism /ˈkrɪt.ɪ.sɪ.zəm/ = lời chỉ trích sắc bén
Example: The decision has stirred sharp criticism.
5. Sharp-eyed = eagle-eyed (a) /ˌʃɑːpˈaɪd/: very good at noticingthings: tinh tường
Example: A sharp-eyed secretary noticed the mistake just in time.
6. A sharp rise: sự tăng mạnh
Example: there has been a sharp rise in recruitment.
7. A sharp drop: sự giảm mạnh
Example: The sharp drop will fuel calls for tough new laws to tackle the drug.
8. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer = lacking intelligence; stupid: ngu dốt
Example: She’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she isn't dishonest"
