Từ sense trong tiếng anh là 1 cực thú vị và được dùng vô vàn, nếu bạn đã nghe đến giác quan thứ 6 - the sixth sense thì còn bất ngờ hơn là từ sense còn ghép với rất nhiều các cụm khác như sense of humour - có khiếu hài hước. Các thầy cô giáo còn hay hỏi câu make sense - kiểu hiểu không? Nên IELTS TRANG BEC đảm bảo là bạn cũng khá quen thuộc với từ sense
1. Sense of direction = the ability to find places or to know which direction to go: giỏi phương hướng
Example: A good sense of direction
2. Sense of humour = your ability to understand funny things: khiếu hài hước
Example: She has a really good sense of humour.
3. Sense of fun = the ability to enjoy life and not be too serious: vui nhộn
Example: Don’t be angry - it was just a joke - where's your sense of fun?
4. Have good sense to do sth = to do one good thing, although you do other bad or silly things: biết cái gì
Example: At least he had the good sense to turn the gas off.
5. Make sense = to be clear and easy to understand: có nghĩa lý
Example: This last paragraph doesn’t make any sense.
6. Common sense (n) /ˌkɒm.ən ˈsens/: the basic level of practical knowledge and judgment that we all need to help us live in a reasonable and safe way: ý thức chung
Example: A matter of common sense
7. Sense of occasion = the feeling people have when there is a very important event or celebration: không khí lễ hội
Example: The decorations, flowers, and crowds gave the town a real sense of occasion.
8. Come to your senses = to begin to use good judgment: sử dụng khả năng cảm nhận
Example: It’s time she came to her senses and got a job.
9. See sense = to be reasonable and have good judgment: đánh giá
Example: We talked to her for an hour, but we couldn't make her see sense.
