4. Grueling (a) /ˈɡru·ə·lɪŋ, ˈɡru·lɪŋ/: extremely tiring and difficult, and demanding great effort and determination: khó khăn, gian khổ
Example: a grueling 50-mile run
 
 
5. Taxing (a) /ˈtæk.sɪŋ/: difficult or needing a lot of thought or effort
Example: I just need an entertaining read for the beach - nothing too taxing.
 
 
6. Burdensome (a) /ˈbɜː.dən.səm/: causing difficulties or work
Example: a burdensome task
 
 
7. Formidable (a) /fɔːˈmɪd.ə.bəl/: causing you to have fear or respect for something or someone because that thing or person is large, powerful, or difficult
Example: a formidable obstacle/task
