1. Two-faced (a) /ˌtuːˈfeɪst/: Someone who is two-faced is not sincere, saying unpleasant things about you to other people while seeming to be pleasant when they are with you – hai mặt
Example: I don't trust her - I suspect she's a bit two-faced.
2. Devious (a) /ˈdiː.vi.əs/: devious people or plans and methods are dishonest, often in a complicated way, but often also clever and successful – láu cá, ranh ma
Example: You have to be devious if you're going to succeed in business.
3. Deceitful (a) /dɪˈsiːt.fəl/: dishonest or hiding the truth
Example: He never struck me as deceitful before.
4. Deceptive (a) /dɪˈsep.tɪv/: making you believe something that is not true – dối trá
Example: It’s deceptive - from the outside the building looks small, but inside it's very big.
5. Untrustworthy (a) /ʌnˈtrʌstˌwɜː.ði/: not able to be trusted – không đánh tin cậy
Example: He is an utterly untrustworthy, unreliable source.
6. Unprincipled (a) /ʌnˈprɪn·sə·pəld/: having or showing no moral rules or standards of good behavior – bất lương
Example: an unprincipled politician
7. Crooked (a) /ˈkrʊk.ɪd/: dishonest – không thật thà
Example: crooked police officers
8. Shady (a) /ˈʃeɪ.di/: dishonest or illegal – khả nghi, không trung thực
Example: They know some very shady characters.
9. Treacherous (a) /ˈtretʃ.ər.əs/: a person who is treacherous deceives someone who trusts them, or has no loyalty – lừa dối, xảo trá
Example: I feel a bit treacherous to my own sex if I ever make general criticisms of women.
