Topic TOURISM (du lịch) xuất hiện cực nhiều trong các bài thi IELTS, gần đây nhất topic writing ngày 17/4 cũng có hỏi mem đề bài về chủ đề này trong đó có key word là từ “tourist”. Để viết thật tốt topic này, chúng mình hãy cùng IELTS Trangbec học ngay các từ đồng nghĩa tuyệt vời bên dưới hén và áp dụng ngay vào các bài nói/viết của chúng mình:
 
1. Sightseer (n) /ˈsaɪtˌsiː.ər/: a person who is visiting interesting places, especially on holiday: người ngắm cảnh
Example: Fairs, festivals, and sports events are held throughout the year and attract many sightseers .

2. Holidaymaker (n) /ˈhɒl.ə.diˌmeɪ.kər/: a person who is on holiday away from where they usually live: Người đi nghỉ mát.
Example: At weekends the roads are jammed with holidaymakers coming to gawp at the parade.

3. Vacationer (n) /veɪˈkeɪ.ʃən.ər/: a person who is on holiday away from where they usually live: khách du lịch
Example:  But both cities are must-sees for vacationers.

4. Traveller (n) /ˈtræv.əl.ər/: someone who travels: khách du lịch
Example: This hotel is for serious travellers, rather than tourists on two-week holidays.

5. Visitor (n) /ˈvɪz.ɪ.tər/: someone who visits a person or place: du khách
Example: You have some visitors to see you.

6. Explorer (n) /ɪkˈsplɔː.rər/: someone who travels to places where no one has ever been in order to find out what is there: người thám hiểm
Example: Magellan was a famous 16th-century explorer.

7. Voyager (n) /ˈvɔɪ.ɪ.dʒər/: a person who goes on a long and sometimes dangerous journey: người đi du lịch xa bằng đường biển.
Example: Those voyagers who first ventured into space certainly showed courage.

8. Tourist (n) /ˈtʊə.rɪst/: someone who visits a place for pleasure and interest, usually while on holiday: du khách
Example: Millions of tourists visit Rome every year.

9.Backpacker (n) /ˈbæk.pæk.ər/: a person who travels with a backpack, usually not spending very much money and staying in places that are not expensive: khách du lịch bụi
Example: 10 years ago, most visitors to Costa Rica were adventurous backpackers travelling on a budget.
