1. Cardiac arrest (n) /ˌkɑː.di.æk əˈrest/: a condition in which the heart stops beating: Ngừng tim
Example: The Danish team doctor said he had actually suffered a cardiac arrest.
 
2. Heart attack (n) /ˈhɑːt əˌtæk/: a serious medical condition in which the heart does not get enough blood, causing great pain and often leading to death: Đau tim
Example: John had a heart attack three years ago.
 
3. Stroke (n) /strəʊk/: a sudden change in the blood supply to a part of the brain, sometimes causing a loss of the ability to move particular parts of the body: Đột quỵ
Example: She suffered/had a stroke that left her unable to speak.
 
4. CPR (n) /ˌsiː.piːˈɑːr/: abbreviation for cardiopulmonary resuscitation: a method used to keep someone alive in a medical emergency, in which you blow into the person's mouth then press on their chest and then repeat the process: hô hấp nhân tạo
Example: to administer/perform CPR
 
5. Medic (n) /ˈmed.ɪk/: a medical student or doctor: bác sỹ
Example: He was being treated by medics on the ground. 
 
6. Collapse (v) /kəˈlæps/: If someone collapses, they fall down because of being sick or weak: ngã xuống 
Example: He collapsed and died of a heart attack.
 
7. Field (n) /fiːld/ : an area, usually covered with grass, used for playing sports: sân bóng
Example: the school playing/sports field
 
8. Form a ring: vây quanh tròn 
Example: Teammates formed a ring around him. 
 
9. In tears = crying: khóc dàn dụa 
Example: I found him in tears in his bedroom.
 
10. Scene (n) /siːn/: a part of a play or film in which the action stays in one place for a continuous period of time: cảnh tượng 
Example: the funeral/wedding scene
 
11. Abandon (v) /əˈbæn.dən/: to stop doing an activity before you have finished it: ngừng 
Example: The game was abandoned temporarily so they stopped playing.
 
12. Recover (v) /rɪˈkʌv.ər/: to become completely well again after an illness or injury: bình phục
Example: He is recovering now.
 
13. Stable (a) /ˈsteɪ.bəl/: A stable person is mentally healthy: ổn định 
Example: She seems more stable these days.
 
14. Stabilize (v) /ˈsteɪbəlaɪz/: if something such as an economy or system stabilizes or if something stabilizes it, it becomes able to continue in a regular and successful way without unexpected changes: ổn định hoá 
Example: A package of monetary and fiscal policies aimed at stabilizing the economy was announced yesterday.
 
15. Nil (n) /nɪl/: nothing: điểm số 0
Example: The challengers lost the game seven-nil (= zero).
 
16. Heartfelt (a) /ˈhɑːt.felt/ : strongly felt and sincere: từ đáy lòng 
Example: heartfelt relief
 
17. Eye-opening (a) /ˈaɪˌəʊ.pən.ɪŋ/: surprising, and teaching you new facts about life, people, etc.: mở mang tầm mắt 
Example: Viewing the battle scene up close is an eye-opening experience.
