1. Psychotherapy (n) [ U ] /ˌsaɪ.kəʊˈθer.ə.pi/: the treatment of mental illness by discussing someone's problems with them, instead of using drugs or operations: phép chữa bằng tâm lý
Example: He was looking for more information on autonomy in psychotherapy and counseling.
2. Psychotic (a) /saɪˈkɒt.ɪk/: suffering from psychosis (= severe mental disease): loạn tinh thần
Example: a psychotic disorder
3. Psychic (a) /ˈsaɪ.kɪk/: having a special mental ability, for example, so that you are able to know what will happen in the future or know what people are thinking: những năng lực/quyền năng
Example: psychic powers.
4. Pneumatic (a) /njuːˈmæt.ɪk/: operated by air pressure: (thuộc) hơi
Example: Our car has pneumatic brakes.
5. Receipt (n) /rɪˈsiːt/: (US sales slip): something such as a piece of paper or message proving that money, goods, or information has been received: hoá đơn
Example: Make sure you are given a receipt for everything you buy.
6. Pseudonym (n) /ˈsjuː.də.nɪm/: a name someone uses instead of their real name, especially on a written work: bút danh
Example: She writes under a pseudonym.
7. Psychology (n) [ U ] /saɪˈkɒl.ə.dʒi/: the scientific study of the way the human mind works and how it influences behaviour, or the influence of a particular person's character on their behaviour: môn tâm lý học
Example: She studied psychology at Harvard.
