Say nắng là SUNSTROKE, say sóng là SEASICKNESS còn “chứng say tàu xe” trong tiếng Anh được gọi là MOTION SICKNESS, bạn còn biết các “kiểu say” nào nữa không?
1. Sunstroke (n) /ˈsʌn.strəʊk/: an illness caused by spending too much time in strong heat and light from the sun: say nắng
Example: Someone who is suffering from sunstroke feels dizzy and has a high temperature, but does not sweat.
2. Seasickness (n) /ˈsiː.sɪk.nəs/: the act of vomiting or the feeling that you will vomit because of the movement of the ship you are travelling in: say sóng
Example: Don't forget your seasickness pills.
3. Motion sickness: chứng say tàu xe. Motion sickness is a sensation of wooziness. It usually occurs when you're traveling by car, boat, plane, or train. Your body's sensory organs send mixed messages to your brain, causing dizziness, lightheadedness, or nausea.
4. Car sickness = a type of motion sickness.
Example: It's not clear why car sickness affects some children more than others.
5. Have a crush on (someone) : to have a romantic infatuation with someone, especially unbeknownst to that person - thầm thương trộm nhớ
Example: I’ve had a crush on Tommy for years.
