Dạo gần đây đề IELTS Thường ra những chủ đề mới lạ. Để chuẩn bị tốt hơn cho kì thi sáng nay BEC sẽ giới thiệu cho các mem chủ đề HANDWRITING nhé. 
Từ vựng theo chủ đề 
1/ Jot down ( phrasal verb) = take note = write down : ghi chú
Example: This is important. Please jot this down.
(Điều này rất quan trọng. Hãy ghi lại.)
2/ Marginalize (v) /ˈmɑː.dʒɪ.nəl.aɪz/: cho là thứ yếu, không quan trọng
Example: Now that English has taken over as the main language, the country's native language has been marginalized.
(Hiện nay, Tiếng Anh được coi là ngôn ngữ chính, ngôn ngữ riêng của mỗi đất nước không còn quan trọng)
3/ Legible (a) /ˈledʒ.ə.bəl/ : rõ ràng, dễ đọc
Example: Her handwriting is barely legible.
(Chữ viết của cô ấy ít khi rõ ràng)
4/ Illegible (a) /ɪˈledʒ.ə.bəl/: không rõ ràng, hầu như là không đọc được
Example: His writing is almost illegible.
(Chữ viết của anh ấy hầu như là không rõ ràng)
5/ Unintelligible (a) /ˌʌn.ɪnˈtel.ɪ.dʒə.bəl/: khó hiểu
Example: He muttered sth unintelligible.
(Anh ấy lẩm bẩm điều gì đó một cách khó hiểu)
6/ Eligible (a) /ˈel.ɪ.dʒə.bəl/: đủ tư cách
Example: Is she eligible to enter the competition?
(Cô ấy có đủ tư cách tham gia cuộc thi?)
7/ Good handwriting skills >< Poor/careless handwriting skills: Kỹ năng viết tốt >< Kỹ năng viết kém
8/ Handwriting exercise: bài tập viết
Example: Pupil should finish their handwriting exercise.
(Học sinh nên hoàn thành bài tập viết của họ)
9/ Handwrite a wedding invitation: viết thiệp mời
Example: They had better handwrite a wedding invitation.
(Họ tốt hơn hết là tự tay viết thiệp mời)
10/ Handwrite document: tài liệu viết tay.
11/ Typed word: đánh chữ.
12/ Digital note: ghi chú điện tử.
13/ Do wonders (phrase): có ảnh hưởng tốt lên ai đó hay cái gì đó.
14/ Speak volumes (phrase) : cung cấp nhiều thông tin, đặc biệt theo những cách không trực tiếp.
15/ Good-hearted (adj) /ˌɡʊdˈhɑː.tɪd/ : Tốt bụng.
16/ Antiquated (adj) /ˈæn.tɪ.kweɪ.tɪd/ : quá cũ kỹ hay lạc hậu.
Example: It will take many years to modernize these antiquated industries.
(Sẽ mất khá nhiều năm để hiện đại hóa nền công nghiệp lạc hậu này)

1/ Do you love writing?
I do like writing and can write about almost everything. I love writing journals and letters.
Well, I have been told that my handwriting is illegible. Even I cant make out what I write sometimes. Having said that, I do think that how I write
tells a lot about my personality.
2/ Do you prefer writing letters or emails?
I prefer letters because I think, surely emails reach faster, but with letters, there are lot of emotions attached. The wait for letters makes them
much more exciting to read.
I definitely like writing my thoughts on a paper better than typing them on a machine because I feel like when I write them down, they flow more
naturally. But on formal occasions like writing a thesis, I’d prefer typing because it looks more professional.
3/ Do you usually write by hand?
Not really anymore. These days I find myself typing a lot on computers and texting on my phone, so I rarely use paper and a pen anymore. That
said, I still have to jot down notes in class because laptops are not allowed. I think it’s a pain, really.
4/ How did you learn to write?
I lived in a joint family so there were lots of people around me who were interested in teaching me. So, I learnt to write with the help of my
brothers and my mother. They used to write letters in the notebook and I was given task to copy the letter or write above it.
5/ How do most people write things now a days?
Most people of my age use their smart phones to make simple notes. But, the elderly, I think still rely on paper based writing. For example,
making the grocery list. Other creative people like writers also prefer diary writing over computer notes.
