1. What do you think about marriage?
Answer 1
Well, to me, marriage is one of the most significant stages that people will experience in life. It’s so romantic with splendid candles, lavish meals and meaningful vows from brides and grooms. As human beings, we all yearn for a happy family and beautiful children. And marriage is the start of all that stuff. Life with a partner always brings you more happiness and even reduces a lot of health issues which has been scientifically proved.
Answer 2
Well, it may sound strange, but honestly, marriage is not really important to me. These days, people are not so religious so it’s very acceptable to live with your partner and have a family without being married. Weddings can be a good excuse for a huge party but I don’t think they are all that meaningful.
2. What age is good to get married?
To be honest with you, I don’t think there’s no such thing as a prefect age. It very much depends on each individual. I mean, as long as you are mature enough, financially stable and ready to take care of your beloved partner - then it’s an optimal time to tie the knot / get hitched.
3. How are weddings organised in your country?
Traditionally, the weddings are prepared by the family of bride and groom and preparations can take several months. First, you always need to visit a fortune teller to choose in ideal wedding date. Then, you will have a wedding photoshoot followed by an engagement party. After 1 week or more, they will have a big wedding ceremony/wedding reception at a wedding venue. It’s really exciting time watching your hopes and dreams become reality.
4. What is the divorce rate in your country?
Actually, I haven’t got any foggiest idea about that, but off the top of my head, it’s increasingly common for sure. There are more single moms in Vietnam recently which used to be considered as a stigma (= it’s used to be frowned upon) back then. The primary reason is because I think people get married at a very young age so they possibly/often marry the wrong partners. It’s also because of either financial trouble/ issues/ crisis or family crisis, I suppose.
