    When it comes to a perfect venue for studying, I tend to choose a place which is as quiet as a mouse, beautifully decorated, light and airy so that I can foster my imagination as well as study effectively. And the library at Hanoi University is such a place.

 

   I used to visit this library back in the good old days when I was a student at Hanoi University. Unfortunately I rarely go there now because of tight schedule.

    So this library is situated right in the centre of the university - next to the main hall. The impressive exterior makes it stand out as a modern-style building with marble pillars at the front. You know, in front of the library stands a beautiful garden and a big stone - on which the name of the library is artistically engraved.

    The interior is even more appealing with state-of-the-art facilities such as an information desk, audio-visual resource centre, circulation desksand things like that.

   You know I am really keen on current affairs at home and abroad so I often visit the newspapers section to go through current issues of national and local newspapers.

    There are 3 floors in total and each of item has been specifically designed for different purposes to serve the faculty, teachers and students.

    What I absolutely love about this place is that you can access an extensive multi-language collection of print and digital resources for your information and recreational needs. In addition, the computerized catalogue system can help you locate particular items. It’s so handy and useful and it really helps me to search any books I want.

    Oh, I have a particular liking for reference sections on the 2nd floor. There are numerous imported foreign books, original paperbacks which may cost you a fortune to buy. I often spend time here reading those valuable materials.

 

    To put the icing on the cake, the whole library has a nice ambience with pastel wall colors to enhance your experience. The walls have positive quotes to motivate students to have a meaningful life.  I can fully concentrate whenever I study here because it has a serene atmosphere.

    All in all, I believe this library offers a soothing environment for students to enjoy reading and borrow their favourite books. It satisfies a thirst for knowledge for all students.
