Trong các môn thể thao chúng ta có vô vàn nhiều từ có thể nhặt ra được dùng với hàm ý nghĩa bóng (Idioms- thành ngữ), cùng IELTS Trangbec học các cụm thật tuyệt để diễn tả các hoạt động hàng ngày như bên dưới! Sau khi ghi chú cẩn thận, bạn hãy cho ví dụ riêng để áp dụng vào các bài nói của mình cho đúng văn cảnh còn đạt được điểm tối đa!
 
1. Raise your game = to make an effort to improve the way that you do something: nỗ lực hơn….
Example: They’re going to have to raise their game if they want to stay in the Premiership this season.
 
2. Sb's A game = the best performance that someone is able to produce: sự thể hiện tốt nhất
Example: I needed to have my A game today but it wasn't even close.
 
3. Do a runner = to leave a place in order to avoid a difficult or unpleasant situation or to avoid paying for something:  rời đi một cách vội vã để tránh phải trả tiền cho việc gì đó (trả tiền ăn) 
Example: They were arrested after doing a runner from an expensive restaurant.
 
4. A walk in the park = something that is very easy to do, and usually pleasant: dễ ợt
Example: He’s used to hard physical work - this is a walk in the park to him.
 
5. It’s like riding a bike = once you learn how to do something, you never forget it: Giống như tập xe đạp ý (việc mình sẽ không bao giờ quên)
Example: If you had a lot of swim lesson as a kid, I bet swimming will be just like riding a bike for you.
 
6. Punch above your weight =  someone is having a romantic relationship with someone who is a lot more attractive than they are: ai đó nằm ngoài khả năng hoặc đẳng cấp của tôi (hấp dẫn hơn)
Example: She’s too pretty for me. He’s punching above his weight. 
 
7. Make a song and dance about sth = to make something seem more important than it really is so that everyone notices it: cứ làm quá lên
Example: I only asked her to move her car but she made such a song and dance about it.
 
8. Kick sth into the long grass = to delay dealing with something, especially because you want people to forget about it: trì hoãn xử lí việc gì…
Example: We are not prepared to see this issue kicked into the long grass.
 
9. Couch surfing (n) /ˈkaʊtʃ ˌsɜː.fɪŋ/: the practice of travelling around and staying with people you do not know, who advertise their homes on the internet: ở nhờ
Example: I’ve been couch surfing around the world. It’s a great way to meet other people. 
 
10. Dad dancing (n) /ˈdæd ˌdɑːn.sɪŋ/: dancing to pop music by older men, in a style that people think is funny or embarrassing: điệu nhảy cổ xưa
Example: Dad dancing tops the lists of things parents do that embarrass their children.
