Example: The shop itself is really stylish, minimal and well-designed. 
 
3. Façade (n) /fəˈsɑːd/: the front of a building, especially a large or attractive building: mặt ngoài
Example: the gallery's elegant 18th-century façade
 
4. Porch (n) /pɔːtʃ/: a covered structure in front of the entrance to a building: Cổng vòm
Example: For details, see the poster in the church porch.
 
5. Foundations  /faʊnˈdeɪ.ʃən/ (n): the structures below the surface of the ground that support a building: móng
Example: The foundations will have to be reinforced to prevent the house from sinking further into the ground.
 
6. Add an extension = build an extension = build an extra room or two onto an existing house: xây thêm tầng
Example: There is a separate basement flat, which we might turn into a granny flat for my mother. 
 
7. Double-glaze (v) /ˌdʌb.l̩ˈɡleɪz/: to use windows that have two layers of glass, in order to keep a building warm or to reduce noise from outside: lắp hai lớp kính 
Example: He double-glazed his windows.
 
8. Interior design (n) /ɪnˌtɪə.ri.ə dɪˈzaɪn/: the art of planning the decoration of the inside of a building such as a house or office: nội thất 
 
9. Exterior (a) /ɪkˈstɪə.ri.ər/: on or from the outside: bề ngoài
Example: Exterior to the main house there is a small building that could be used as an office or studio.
 
10. Art deco (n) /ˌɑːt ˈdek.əʊ/:a style of decoration that was especially popular in the 1930s and uses simple shapes and lines and strong colours: Nghệ Thuật trang trí
 
11. Aesthetic (a) /esˈθet.ɪk/: relating to the enjoyment or study of beauty: thẩm mỹ 
Example: The new building has little aesthetic value/appeal.
 
12. Aesthetically (adv) /esˈθet.ɪ.kəl.i/: in a way that relates to the enjoyment or study of beauty: thẩm mỹ 
Example: I like objects to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
 
13. Eyesore (n) /ˈaɪ.sɔːr/: an unpleasant or ugly sight in a public place: xấu xí 
Example: They think the new library building is an eyesore.
 
14. Energy-efficient (a) /ˈen.ə.dʒi.ɪˌfɪʃ.ənt/: using little electricity, gas, etc.: năng lượng hiệu quả  
Example: energy-efficient homes/energy-efficient lighting
 
15. Functional (a) /ˈfʌŋk.ʃən.əl/: designed to be practical and useful rather than attractive: chức năng 
Example: functional clothing
 
16. Elegant (a) /ˈel.ɪ.ɡənt/: graceful and attractive in appearance or behaviour: thanh tao, nhẹ nhàng
Example: an elegant dining room
 
17. Insulation (n) /ˌɪn.sjəˈleɪ.ʃən/: material that is used to stop heat, sound, or electricity from escaping or entering: cách nhiệt
Example: Glass fibre is often used as roof insulation.
 
18. Ventilation (n) /ˌven.tɪˈleɪ.ʃən/: the movement of fresh air around a closed space, or the system that does this: thông gió
Example: a ventilation system
