GET TO THE BOTTOM OF (SOMETHING) = Chạm tới đáy của cái gì đó (nghĩa đen). Nghĩa bóng nếu bạn dùng cụm này thì bạn hàm ý là bạn sẽ làm mọi cách xem xét toàn bộ thông tin, dữ kiện có liên quan để hiểu rõ ngọn ngành (to understand something completely by sorting through all the facts or information).
Bạn sẽ nghe thấy cụm này dùng nhiều trong các phim thám tử
Example: The detective had all the facts, but he couldn’t piece them together yet. He wasn’t certain what had happened, but he knew he would eventually get to the bottom of it.
Get to the bottom of sth = to discover the truth about a situation
Example: I’m not sure what is causing the problem, but I'm determined to get to the bottom of it.
