Tất cả những cụm bên dưới đều được dùng rất nhiều hàng ngày và bạn hoàn toàn có thể dùng trong IELTS Speaking, ngoài các cụm như: SAME HERE! RIPPED! thì chúng mình không dùng trong IELTS SPeaking vì đó là SLANGS (tiếng lóng)!
1. Have a blast! = Have a really good time: có thời gian tuyệt vời
Example: I had a blast at the library the other night!
2. That was epic! = That was great/unforgettable!: trải nghiệm tuyệt vời
Example: We had an epic night last night!
3. No sweat! = Don’t worry! đừng lo lắng quá
Example: No sweat! That’s fine!
4. I’m down for it! = I’m up for something = keen to go/join: tôi muốn tham gia
Example: Are you down for ice skating!
5. I feel you = I understand/empathise with you: mình hiểu/ thông cảm cho bạn
Example: I totally feel you!
6. She’s/ He’s a legend!: anh/cô ấy thật tuyệt vời!
Example: He’s such a legend! I really like him!
7. Same (here)! = I agree with you: mình hoàn toàn đồng ý với bạn
Example: Did you fail the exam? Same here!
8. Wassup = whassup, what's up? /ˌwɒsˈʌp/: used as a friendly greeting, to ask someone how they are, or to ask what is happening = hello: xin chào
Example: His phone goes. "Wassup?" he says nonchalantly. "What are you doing?"
9. Do (you) get me? = Do you understand what I’m saying?: bạn hiểu mình nói gì không?
Example: I like him because he really gets me.
10. You know it! = Absolutely! That’s true!: đúng rồi!
Example: Are you going to the party tonight? You know it!
11. That’s so shady! = that’s suspicious or questionable behaviour: thật là mờ ám!
Example: It was shady of her to leave the WhatsApp group.
12. Epic fail! That was a big failure!: thất bại thảm hại
Example: I asked hm out on a date and it was an epic fail! He said “no”.
13. Ripped! = someone who is muscly/ in shape!: dáng đẹp quá
Example: OMG! Your dad is absolutely ripped!
14. That is bomb! = That is great!: thật là tuyệt vời
Example: Your shoes are bomb! (= your shoes are lovely)!
15. You are such a flake/ so flakey! = indecisive - you always pull out (decied you won’t go after saying you will) at the last minute: đừng có mà biến mất đấy!
Example: Don’t be a flake! You have to come tonight!
16. That’s a rip-off! = overpriced purchase: đúng là đắt cắt cổ
Example: What a rip-off!
17. In no time = in a very short amount of time: sớm thôi
Example: He’ll be here in no time.
18. I had to bail = i had to leave early /abruptly! rời đi đột ngột
Example: So sorry I bailed!
