Có 3 quy tắc chúng mình bắt buộc phải nhớ như sau:
Quy tắc 1: H không được phát âm khi đứng sau W.
Example: what, when, where, whether, why.
Quy tắc 2: H không được phát âm khi đứng đầu một số từ (đừng quên dùng mạo từ “an” với H câm).
Example: hour, honest, honour, heir.
Quy tắc 3: âm H thường không được phát âm khi đứng sau chữ C, G hoặc R
Example: choir, Ghastly, Rhinoceros …
Example: He sings in the church choir.
2. Heir (n) /eər/: a person who will legally receive money, property, or a title from another person, especially an older member of the same family, when that other person dies: người thừa kế…
Example: The guest of honour was the Romanov heir to the throne of all Russia.
3. Rhinoceros (rhino) (n) /raɪˈnɒs.ər.əs/: a very large, thick-skinned animal from Africa or Asia that has one or two horns on its nose: tê giác
Example: a population of black/white rhinoceros
4. Honour (n) /ˈɒn.ər/: a quality that combines respect, being proud, and honesty: vinh dự
Example: a man of honour
5. Vehicle (n) /ˈvɪə.kəl/: a machine, usually with wheels and an engine, used for transporting people or goods on land, especially on roads: xe cộ
Example: Road vehicles include cars, buses, and trucks.
6. Honest (a) /ˈɒn.ɪst/: telling the truth or able to be trusted and not likely to steal, cheat, or lie: trung thực…
Example: He had an honest face (= he looked like he could be trusted).
7. Hour (n) /aʊər/: a period of 60 minutes: 1 giờ
Example: My hometown is an hour from Houston/an hour away (= it takes an hour to travel there).
