1. Sprint (v) /sprɪnt/: to run as fast as you can over a short distance, either in a race or because you are in a great hurry to get somewhere
Example: We had to sprint to catch the bus.
2. Dash (v) /dæʃ/: to go somewhere quickly
Example: I've been dashing around all day.
3. Race (v) /reɪs/: to move or go fast
Example: He raced down the street.
4. Scurry (v) /ˈskʌr.i/: to move quickly, with small, short steps
Example: When the boss entered the office, he scurried back to work.
5. Scamper (v) /ˈskæm.pər/: When small children and animals scamper, they run with small quick steps
Example: The children scampered off into the garden.
6. Run like the wind = To run very fast
Example: Come on, kids, run like the wind out to the car, or else we're going to be late!
