1. Give (someone) a shout = to tell (someone) about something when it happens or is ready to be done: thông báo cho ai

3. Don't give up the day job! = used for telling someone that you do not think they are very good at something: khuyên ai nên tiếp tục công việc đã từng làm hoặc hiện tại đang làm hơn là tìm một công việc mới mà khả năng họ có thể dễ thất bại.
Example: You are not a very talented actor, so don't give up the day job and pursue it as a hobby.
4. Give/lend sb a helping hand = to help someone: giúp đỡ ai đó
Example: These tax cuts will give industry a helping hand.

7. Give someone the cold shoulder = to intentionally ignore

8. Give someone a break = stop criticizing or being angry with someone: ngừng chỉ trích/tức giận ai đó
Example: Give her a break – she was only five minutes late.
9. Give sb a lift = to make someone happier: cho ai đó đi nhờ

10. Give birth = When a woman or female animal gives birth, she produces a baby or young a

11. Give sb a call = to phone someone: gọi ai đó
Example: Give me a call sometime next week, won't you?
12. Give away something = to supply something at no charge: miễn phí
Example: They’re giving away shopping bags.
13. Give (sth) up = If you give up a habit, such as smoking, or something such as alcohol, you stop doing it or using it: từ bỏ
Example: I gave up smoking two years ago.
14. Give it a rest = said when you want someone to stop talking about or doing something that is annoying you: bình tĩnh nào
Example: Oh, give it a rest, can't you?
15. Give sb the finger = to show someone in an offensive way that you are angry with that person by turning the back of your hand towards them and putting your middle finger up
Example: I gave my brother the finger after he said that he'd never seen a worse basketball player than me.
16. I don’t give a crab (slang): tôi không bận tâm
Example: I don’t give a crab about you.
