3. A long and complicated story: 1 câu chuyện dài và phức tạp
Example: It’s a long and complicated story and I don’t have time to go into it all just now.
4. The same old story: chuyện rất thường xảy ra
Example: It’s the same old story wherever you go - the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
5. A rare success story: 1 câu chuyện thành công hiếm có
Example: The Green Shoe company is a rare success story.
6. Hard-luck story: câu chuyện không may
Example: The beggar told me some hard-luck story about being cheated out of his inheritance.
7. Real-life story: 1 câu chuyện đời thực
Example: The film was based on the real-life story of General Patton.
8. Make the story up: bịa chuyện
Example: No, I didn’t make the story up. I’ve told you the whole thing is true!
9. Stick to the same story: bám sát vào cùng 1 câu chuyện
Example: When mum and dad ask us how the window was broken, we must all stick to the same story if we want them to believe us!
